BB Man: How do you condition and groom your beard on a normal day (when it’s not being styled for a photo)?
Incredibeard: Since I punish my hair so frequently with my crazy designs, I need to shampoo my beard daily. In case of beard itch or beard dandruff, I always use anti-dandruff shampoo. After a shower I always follow up with one of my favorite beard oils.
BB Man: What constraints do you have because of gravity and beard density?
Incredibeard: Many times I will be one-third of the way through a design only to realize it won’t be possible, and I have to wash it out and start over. Luckily though, all of my greatest ideas have actually worked out. However, as my beard grows longer, it is becoming much more difficult to make many designs, simply due to hair weight and gravity.
BB Man: What’s your go-to for super strong concrete beard hold?
Incredibeard: I have tried many different hair sprays, cheap and expensive. The only one I use is Mega Freeze-It Hair Spray. It is cheap, and you can find it at any local drug store. The formula doesn’t dry too fast or too slow, giving you the time you need to mold your shape, and hold when you want it to.
BB Man: Do you ever consider shaving? When was the last time you were clean-shaven?
Incredibeard: No, I would never consider that. As of this interview, my beard is 2 years 4 months old, and it really does feel like my child. Yes, I have a toddler on my face and I would never kill my own child.
BB Man: Your beard is Internet-famous. Were you prepared for the strong reactions?
Incredibeard: We never expected we would receive even .0001% of the reaction we have, but we are truly blessed by the outpouring of love and laughter. These last few years have been truly remarkable and I feel fortunate to be a part of this extraordinary world of bearding.
