Meet the BB Man Team: Carlos

Carlos, our Merchandising and Marketing Manager at Birchbox Man, is one of the kindest souls at Birchbox HQ, but if we come into the office looking less than perky, he’s not afraid to say so. For Carlos, however, this is simply constructive criticism, as he’s likely to spend the next 5 minutes schooling us on how to vanquish dark under eye circles using concealer. We’re in awe of both his youthful complexion and his unabashed enthusiasm for Britney Spears. Here Carlos gives us the lowdown on everything from his own legendary skincare routine to his favorite New York watering hole.

My style: Preppy meets contemporary.

My style icon: David Beckham. Whether he’s wearing a t-shirt and shorts or a Tom Ford suit, he always looks great.

Fun fact: I celebrated my 21st birthday in Rome—and Amsterdam

My go-to bar: The Press Lounge at Ink 48 Hotel. The view from the rooftop is gorgeous and,because it's a bit of a hike, it doesn't get too crowded.

My favorite Man product: Body wash.

My skincare routine: Recipe for Men Anti-Shine Moisturizer as a base, followed by NUXE Men Multi-Purpose Eye Cream and concealer. Then, I layer on Lab Series BB cream, and finish with Clinique for Men Bronzer.

The best thing about working at Birchbox: All the brands—there are hundreds on my roster and hundreds more to discover. I also love that our Birchbox guys are so open to letting us introduce new brands into their lives.

Now reading: I'm re-reading Dry by Augusten Burroughs. I read it before moving to New York and, after living here for awhile, it's like a reading a completely different book.

On my headphones: Britney Spears, Blackout. The songs on this record are amazing for my walk to work every morning or run in Central Park.
