Jorah Mormont, exiled Westerosi lord

It came as no surprise in “The Ghost of Harrenhal” that Ser Jorah the Andal has a big crush on Daenerys Targaryen. And who can blame him? The gorgeous and intelligent leader of the displaced Dothraki people is the mother of the only remaining dragons in the entire world. That lady is a catch. But, c’mon Ser Jorah, have a little tact! His admission of love came on a little strong last night, as he told Daenerys that she is “someone who can and should rule” and that “centuries come and go without a person like [her] coming into the world.” And the real kicker: “You have a gentle heart. There are times when I look at you and I still can’t believe you’re real.” She didn't seem that into it.

Don’t get us wrong, we’re all for laying your feelings on the table, but we think Ser Jorah could try for a subtler approach given how much Daenarys has on her plate right now. We know he's a smooth operator with a keen eye for detail—how else would he have been able to maintain such perfectly trimmed designer stubble while wandering through the desert for weeks? Speaking of his enviable beard, a good place to start making a more subtle gesture toward the object of his affection might be applying a little scent. We advocated a similar approach for Samwell Tarly a couple weeks ago.
