Kate Middleton's Princess Perfection
We love how the Duchess of Cambridge was confident enough to do her own wedding makeup after taking private lessons with London makeup artist, Arabella Preston. The result? A royally easy look that's fresh, clean, and conservative — but not boring. "I love recreating this simple and classic face because the style never dies!," says Byron Williams of the Byron & Tracey Salon in Beverly Hills.
Skin: "I always enhance and play up the bride's natural beauty, so glowing skin is a must," says Williams. To show off a healthy tan complexion like Middleton's, smooth on a tinted moisturizer like Jouer's Luminizing Moisture Tint, set with a few swipes of Cargo's Bronzer, and lightly contour a pink blush onto the apples of your cheeks.
Eyes: "You want a timeless look, so don't go too heavy on the eyes," Williams advises. "However, if you do want a bit of a smoky eye, keep it subtle and go easy on the liner." He also recommends applying false lashes, like FAUX's Estelle Lashes, to make your eyes pop.
Lips: Opt for a sheer rosy gloss like Lipstick Queen's Jean Queen Gloss for a prince-friendly kisser.
Kate Moss's Bohemian Beauty
Supermodel Kate Moss has sported millions of dramatic makeup looks for campaigns, editorials, and runway shows, which may be why she opted for a more natural face on her big day. With the help of makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury (who also happens to be her best friend), Moss showed up at her bohemian fairytale wedding completely fresh-faced.
Skin: To replicate Moss's dewy glow, massage a luxe face oil like Sunday Riley's Juno Transformative Lipid Serum into clean skin and top with a creamy foundation like Smashbox's Studio Skin Hydrating Foundation.
Eyes: Lightly trace your upper lash line with dark grey or black liner and layer on a few coats of a lengthening mascara like stila's glamoureyes mascara.
Lips: Moss went au naturale with her pout, so simply glide on a clear gloss like Jouer’s Lip Enhancer and you're good to go!
Kim Kardashian's Glam Goddess
Celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic knew he had to pump up the glamour to keep up with this Kardashian. That’s why he stopped at nothing to make sure her look was flawless. With picture-perfect skin, bold lashes, rosy cheeks, and shiny peach lips, the reality set the bar for the va-va-voom bride look.
Skin: To prep skin, apply a primer like Smashbox’s Photo Finish Primer all over. Next, apply a hydrating foundation to even out your skin tone, followed by concealer to mask any under-eye circles. Set the look with Smashbox’s Photo Set Pressed Powder and apply a matte peach blush on your cheeks.
Eyes: Sweep gold shadow like stila’s 14K all over your lids. Next, highlight your brow bones with a light shimmer and apply a dark bronze shadow along the crease of your eyes. Try stila’s eye shadows in Kitten and Copper. Mix the gold and bronze shadows together and lightly sweep across your lower lash line. Next, line your top lid with a deep black liquid eyeliner, like stila's stay all day waterproof liner, gradually thickening the line as you reach the outer corner. For extra drama, apply two generous coats of mascara to your top and bottom lashes.
Lips: Define your lips with a nude liner and apply a sheer coral lipstick. Finish by adding a dab of shiny tinted gloss, like Jouer's Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Rose Glisten. Muah!
