Get the Look: Hollywood Icons

The latest generation of starlets has some serious heels to fill. These Hollywood legends set the standard for red carpet glamour. Take a cue from them, and you might find yourself practicing your acceptance speech—even if there’s nary a stage in your future.

  • Kelly Grace Kelly, 1955

You don’t have to be royalty to pull off the Princess of Monaco’s elegant look. Play up lashes with FusionBeauty Mascara, and dab on stila Lip Glaze in Rose on your lips for a better-than-natural flush.

  • Liz Elizabeth Taylor, 1970

To channel Liz’s larger-than-life glamour, create a high ponytail, spritz on a protective styling spray such as Oscar Blandi and use a clipless iron (we love Sedu’s to create ringlets. Pencil in your brows (go dark for dramatic effect), apply vibrant blue eyeshadow to your lids, and trace stila’s smudge stick along your lashline. Finish with a touch of Chantecaille’s luxe champagne-hued gloss on lips. Accessorize with a 69.42-carat diamond necklace—or your best costume jewelry.

  • Hutton Lauren Hutton, 1980

Appearing on Vogue a record-breaking 26 times, this fresh-faced beauty accessored her famous gap with gleaming skin and glossy locks. Make like a cover girl at home by lathering up with Serge Normant’s hydrating Meta Silk Shampoo. Apply Beauty Protector’s leave-in conditioner post-shower to smooth out any kinks, and let your hair dry naturally. Use stila’s one step bronzer to score a faux-glow, and finish with a swipe of deep crimson lipstick.

  • Halle Halle Berry, 2001

Few gowns are as recognizable as the Elie Saab stunner Halle Berry donned the year she won the Oscar for Best Actress. This history-making look needs little embellishment and works perfectly with short hair: Add a texturizing spray, like Ojon’s Thickening Spray, to locks and work into piece-y perfection. Keep lips plush with Dr. Lipp’s Original Nipple Balm. And it doesn’t hurt to do a couple extra push-ups—about 300 of them.
