How to Make Matte Lipstick Last All Day

Whether you rock a bold lip or tone your look down with a subtle nude, we all want to lock in our matte lip color for as long as possible. In just a few easy steps, you can keep your reapplication to a minimum and stop worrying about your lips looking lackluster after a night out.

We used LAQA & Co.s brand new Cheeky Lip to really create the perfect summer statement look. And multi-use product lovers are in luck because this product doubles and a cheek tint.

Step 1: Exfoliate lips to remove any dead skin and prep lips.

Step 2: Apply a small amount of balm and allow to fully soak in. Using too much will prevent the lipstick from holding.

Step 3: Apply a lip primer, concentrating on the outer edges.

Step 4: Apply lipstick.

Step 5: Use a single-ply of tissue and translucent powder to set lipstick.

Step 6: Add highlighter to your cheeksmatte lips pair well with glowy skin.

Step 7: Bonus! This LAQA & Co. Cheeky Lip doubles as a cheek tint.

This video is part of our Beauty Essentials series, where we provide the building blocks of beauty routines from basic to advanced. With our step-by-step tutorials, you'll learn the skills you need to master the looks you want.
