LA’s First Males-Only Nail Salon is a Total Man Cave

Free brews, framed hammers, flat-screen televisions, king-size leather sofas, and vintage punching bags—no, this isn't the world's coolest man cave, it's a nail salon. Hammer & Nails is Los Angeles's premiere nail shop for men, and the city’s well-groomed dudes can’t get enough of it.

Determined to "put the man in manicure," this Melrose Avenue space is making waves on the West Coast beauty scene for its mission to become a safe place for men who want to look their best without worrying about being "caught" in lady territory. (It's worth mentioning, however, that all genders are welcomed at standard nail salons. But we get it.)

In addition to offering all the hand and foot treatments you'd see at a predominately female-focused beauty haven (think nail shaping, callous removing, hot towel wraps), Hammer & Nails also hooks its male guests up with a relaxing atmosphere more akin to their natural habitats: Complimentary beer flows on tap, and (don’t worry about missing the game) each guest gets his own personal TV with headphones. To maintain its "manly" theme, colored polishes are not offered here—yet.

Hammer & Nails is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 8pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Closed Mondays.
