#MoreGood: Birchbox Gives Back

In this month's Sneak Peek video, we asked you: “How are you giving back this month?” We were blown away by your answers. From volunteering at food pantries to creating care packages for the less fortunate, our subscribers are creating all kinds of good in their communities. Read through the comments and we guarantee you'll feel just as warm and fuzzy as we do!

As a company, Birchbox is proud to be donating to Movember and No Kid Hungry this month. And our staffers are doing their part as individuals as well—here's how a few of them are giving back this Thanksgiving:

“I'm giving back this month through mentoring a high school senior in the Bronx. It's college application crunch time right now, so I'm helping guide her to stay on top of deadlines and serving as someone she can confide in. I have been mentoring her for a year now and I'm excited to celebrate all of her hard work this holiday season, which may or may not include a special Birchbox delivery!”—Kerrie Lopez, Brand Campaign Strategy Manager

"I adopted a sheep from the Farm Sanctuary. For the price of a monthly donation, they send you a picture with fun facts about your animal, like where it was found and what its favorite foods are. Bahh!"—Melinda Small, Manager, Product Development

“One way I'm giving back this month is by doing any of my non-beauty shopping through Socialvest. It's a really easy web tool that allows you to earn 1-35% on any online purchases at great stores like Best Buy, iTunes, and Expedia. That money is then yours to donate to the charity of your choice. It's completely free and really easy! I will be raising money for UNHCR.”—Brooke Pendleton, Brand Campaign Strategy

“I love the idea of donating food and toys to no-kill animal shelters. I'm also looking to find cheap gloves and socks online that I can buy in bulk to donate for the cold weather!”—Brielle Fewer, Associate, People & Culture

“I am participating in a weekend-long charity event at South Street Seaport—we are packaging meals for kids around the city who don't have enough food.”—Brittany Sheehan, Merchandising, Marketing & Inside Sales Manager

"My partner and I are donating to Glide to help feed the less fortunate this holiday." —Brad Lande, VP, Birchbox Man
