Nailing It: Radiant Orchid Riot!

Senior Logistics Associate, Loren, has a thing for nails—and we can’t blame her. We love reading about new finishes and fun techniques, so we thought we’d give her a space to wax poetic about all things manicure (and pedicure!) related.

I don’t know about you, but when Pantone announced Radiant Orchid as the 2014 Color of the Year last week, I jumped for joy! I’m excited to don this versatile and vibrant lavender all year round, especially on my nails. Here are a few lacquers that you can wear to showcase this charming hue:

Perfectly Plum

First up, LAQA & Co.’ Bells & Whistles! This gorgeous plum color alludes to the intricate designs on the orchids most commonly found in the U.S. Not only fitting for any season, this color also looks lovely on every skin tone.

Two-Toned Tint

Can’t choose just one color to paint your nails? Luckily, Ruby Wing Crowd Surf is like two polishes in one. In the shade this polish is an elegant red grape and in the sun it shines as a bubbly magenta—just like our two-toned orchids!

Pink-ish Floyd

Last, but not least, I love Deborah Lippmann Dark Side of the Moon. Reminiscent of my favorite flower of all time, the black orchid, its deep aubergine hue reads both dramatic and rock-n-roll at the same time. It’s the perfect, moody shade for winter.

Still can’t figure out how to strut your stuff in next year’s shade? Check out other fun ways to sport Radiant Orchid here!

How will you wear this gorgeous hue next year?
