November 2013: Editor’s Letter

It’s our favorite time of the year: Movember’s Eve. These are the last days of unchecked scruff and sporadic shaves. We’re hastily throwing together Halloween costumes (to go all out with the Robin Thicke referee tuxedo or to take it easy with last year’s Coach Taylor FNL getup?) and plotting for the big first-of-the-month clean shave. Not to mention preparing our elevator pitch to go along with the month-long Movember ’stache.

Movember is our #MoreGood strategy at Birchbox Man this month (we encourage you to join the team), but we’re also proud to say many of November’s brands have their own unique takes on giving back. LSTN Headphones—which makes some of the sweetest wooden earbuds we’ve ever encountered—supports the Starkey Hearing Foundation. Yes To donates to community gardens around the globe through their “Seed Fund.” And Bombas Socks, inspired by the TOM’s one-for-one business model, donates a pair of socks to the homeless for every pair they sell.
