Rosie Pope: Beauty In Action

Rosie Pope redefines what it means to be a supermom. The maternity fashion designer and star of Bravo’s Pregnant In Heels is also a powerful advocate for children in need. Pope works with Baby Buggy, a nonprofit that provides essential goods for children in need, to raise awareness and resources. This December, Birchbox is donating 100% of the profits from full-size product sales to Baby Buggy, with a guaranteed contribution of $25,000. We asked Pope about giving back, her advice for new moms, and more.

Natural beauty discoveries

I’ve always loved Burt's Bees while pregnant. I also have a rather strange homemade spritzer that I'm addicted to: buy an empty spritzer bottle and fill it with 1/4 organic whole milk and 3/4 mineral water. Spritz on your face morning and night and allow it to soak in before doing daily cleansing. Don't knock it until you try it!

Mommy must-have

All moms need Aquaphor! I know it might be un-glamorous, but so are chapped lips and irritated skin. I never go anywhere without one for me and my little ones.

Always on hand

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm is my must-have! I don't always get much sleep, so I lather on this miracle cream to look rested. I can always tell the days on camera I remembered to apply it and the days I forgot!

On getting involved

I really wanted to find a charitable organization that made sense with who I am and what I was experiencing as a mom. Baby Buggy was a natural fit! I started by learning about the great work that they do, and I was so humbled and inspired I wanted to help right away.

Easy ways to help

Baby Buggy loves receiving donations of gently used gear, clothing, and toys for infants to children up to age 12. You can visit the Baby Buggy website or call 212-736-1777 to find out how to arrange a donation. Baby Buggy also accepts online donations at BabyBuggy.org.
