The Bronze Goddess: Jennifer Lopez
Despite her knack for relationship drama, Jenny From The Block is one of the world's most glamorous women. Here's how to get her gilded look.
Makeup: J. Lo owns the smokey eye-bronzed skin combo. Start by blending stila eye shadow in Moonlight across the entire lid and in the inner corner of your eye. Blend stila's Black Cat in the crease and outer “v” of your eye. Apply a nude lipstick like MAC Crème d’Nude on moisturized lips. Finish with a wash of bronzer and a highlighter across your cheekbones and browbones.
Hair: We love Jennifer’s half-up style. Part hair off center and brush back the sides, leaving the top loose. Pin in the back with bobby pins and a sparkly clip to make sure the style lays flat.
The Classic Starlet: Kerry Washington
We’ve never seen a bad picture of Ms. Washington but she looks particularly stunning here, with a bold red lip and a fringe of thick lashes.
Makeup: The holidays wouldn’t be complete without a great red lip. Apply one coat and top with a shiny gloss like Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Glisten. Brush a rosy blush across cheeks and highlight your cheekbones to make them pop. Use a shimmery silver eye shadow like stila eye shadow in Cloud across your lids and line with a black liquid liner. Finish eyes with false lashes (we like FAUX’s natural looking ones) and a few coats of mascara.
Hair: Keep it sleek and simple. Work a few drops of a serum like Orofluido Elixir through damp hair. Then, part hair to the side and blow dry. Use a wide barrel curling iron to curl hair into soft ringlets. Finger-comb to loosen curls and finish with another drop of serum to smooth any flyaways.
Fun & Flirty: Lauren Conrad
Say what you will about LC, but we think she’s cute as a button. We love this bright, punchy lip paired with a wavy updo.
Makeup: Keep skin fresh with just a hint of peachy blush over your tinted moisturizer. For the eyes, sweep a neutral cream shadow across your lid and trace the upper lashes with a white eyeliner like Urban Decay’s 24/7 Eye Pencil in Yeyo. Next, layer a thinner line of black liquid liner over the white for eyes that pop. Finish with NARS Funny Face, a semi-matte, velvety shade.
Hair: Here, LC’s long locks are transformed into a chic wavy bob. This works best if you have some shorter layers near the front of your face. Pull your front layers forward and separate hair into two sections, front and back. Tie up the front section to get it out of the way. Next, braid the back of your hair into two pigtails and pin back and forth to the back of your head. Alternatively you can twist the back portion of your hair into a low bun. Next, undo the front portion of hair, tease long strands and pin them back into your braids or bun. Curl the front portion and let it fall forward. Like Lauren’s version, it’s okay if it’s a little messy.
