Interesting, but ultimately useless
I think the idea behind this product is great, but the color I received (white) looked terrible with everything. I opened the box and never touched it again.

I didn't expect this to accommodate my Yeti-sized wrists- and of course it didn't. But I did give it to a coworker- who was intrigued. The VITA system was pointless for him (new to me, too)- but worse than that, the watch itself doesn't function as a watch (not really.) Function buttons are buried under silicone and do not depress...
So you're left with a bulky (it rises up more than one would expect) rubber band on your wrist. No thanks!)
This really is one of the worst things I've received from Birchbox! On the physical end of the product, it's much too small for a normal man's wrist. Trying to put it on caused the entire watch face to pop out displaying how flimsy and cheaply made it is. On the practical side, with many, many companies producing items that block RFID signals from chipped credit cards, here's a watch that basically BEGS thieves to steal your information. I would NEVER purchase, recommend or gift this item. Run while you still have a credit rating!
Nice little barebones watch - band was a little snug, but got more comfortable after a few wears. I've been using it on runs and hikes. It's dead simple to operate. I had been really excited about the payment and ID chip ID which sadly, is no longer an option from the company
Great for that Starbucks stop after a run. I can leave the house with just this watch. Only problem is the battery seems to die very quickly with no way to replace it, other than sending for a replacement unit.
Didn't fit well. Once I got it on, I stretched the band to the point of not covering the watch itself. Buttons were hard to press.
This watch never worked for me. The battery must have been dead from the moment I arrived and there's no way to replace it without sending it to the manufacturer and shelling out $10. This was the first birchbox I've received and I'd definitely rate it a big fat 0! I basically paid $20 for a useless rubber band and a handful of samples.
great design, i like wearing the watch. I have not yet activated the VITAnumber, so i have not experienced the full functionality of the product. concept is great, i just have apprehensions about using it.
very cool how it works. timer buttons a bit difficult to press though.
In all honesty this is a $16 watch so greatness is not to be expected. However the watch is even more poor than I anticipated. It's incredibly cheap looking and not a product that any adult with a real job would wear.
The concept is intriguing. Waving your hand to pay for stuff and having information available to first responders is a plus but for a majority of people I suspect that they will rarely be able to use the wave to pay feature and the watch is likely to go unnoticed to first responders. The hardware however is the big failure. The screen is tiny, the EL backlight is incredibly dim and the buttons are difficult to push. It's honestly frustrating to use it. The watch part itself is not actually part of the band, it is simply encased in it and the rubber around the screen will pull and stretch adding to the overall cheap feel.
If I had to find one positive it's that the watch is at least comfortable. It doesn't weigh much mainly because it doesn't consist of much and the band feels fine against the skin.
Overall however this is something that a child would wear and appreciate. It looks like it could have come from a claw machine at a supermarket and I just don't see it appealing to many adults.
