Birchbox Breakdown
The C.O. BIGELOW apothecary has been providing prescriptions and grooming goods to customers since 1838, so it’s no surprise that they know how to do old school shaving right. And when it comes to shave brushes, there’s no beating the lather and heat and moisture retention of authentic badger hair. This English-made brush will make your shave smoother and improve your complexion. Plus, it’s just awesome.
How it Works
Badger hair has been used to make shaving brushes for over two centuries, and during that time no synthetic has proven better at absorbing and retaining water and heat. The bristles of badger hair combine with shaving soap to generate a rich lather, and lift and soften beard hairs for an extra-close shave.
How to Use
Wet brush bristles with hot water. Apply a generous amount of shaving cream to the brush or swirl the brush directly onto shaving soap. Spread across face using circular motions, then shave normally. After each use, hang your shaving brush upside down to dry.
