Birchbox Breakdown
Niche perfumerie Arquiste believes that scents can serve as a form of time travel: each of their debut fragrances is meant to evoke a specific moment in history. A bright blend of citrus and other fruity notes, L’Etrog captures the aromas of a family harvest celebration in medieval Calabria, Italy. Developed by famed fragrance designers Rodrigo Flores-Roux and Yann Vasnier together with Arquiste founder Carlos Huber, it’s sure to please even the most discerning noses. And though the scent takes it cues straight from the history books, we love how the luxe glass bottle feels distinctly modern.
How it Works
This transporting scent will take you to an exotic Mediterranean cabin built out of palm leaves and foraged branches. Beneath these opening woodsy notes hovers a bright base of Etrog citron, which is native to Calabria, plus lush date and fragrant myrtle. The overall composition is warm and citrusy without veering into overly sweet territory.
How to Use
Since this scent is ultra-concentrated, apply sparingly. A single spritz on your wrists will keep you fragrant all day.
