In last month's Birthbox there was a sample of Caudalie Divine Oil and I loved it. The smell of it was just ... heavenly. The sample size just wasn't enough to convince me on body oils and buying a whole bottle while still on the fence was a little too spendy. So, I cheaped out and bought the Avene. I figured for half the price, I would have plenty of time to determine if body oils were for me or if I would remain a hard core lotion girl. I simply can't get past the smell. It doesn't smell anything like pine and outdoors to me. It smells like cheap hairspray. Like Aquanet circa 1984 cheap. Bad scent aside, lotion works better for me. An hour or two after using the oil, I look just as dry as I did before my shower and I stink.

I like this product as a post-shower "I'm in a hurry" moisturizer. It has a nice smell and doesn't leave a residue, so I can get dressed immediately after applying.

Not so thrilled about the mineral oil, but emulsifies great and makes my skin soft. A bit greasy on its own, though, best to apply to wet/damp skin.

I love this product. My only suggestion is that it should be a spray instead of the current way the oil is dispensed. It would be easier to apply.

I adore this oil. It's moisturizing and the smell is fantastic; sort of musky and woodsy. I use after every shower and can see a real difference in my skin. Highly recommend.

i bought this product just based upon the reviews and description on birchbox, and I love it so much. I think I have become a lifetime convert. I LOVE the smell- it is so hard to find beauty products where the smell is right up my ally. It smells woody, clean, and exotic. Plus, it is soo moisturizing but it is best applied when right out of the bath when your skin is still a little damp. I will definitely be buying this product again.

I love love love this product!! The smell is amazing and original. I cannot get out of the shower and not put this on. I prefer to use it at night so that it will soak in more. I will always have a bottle in my bathroom. This stuff is great.

I was a little hesitant to try an oil, as my skin isn't typically overly dry. Now that it's getting warm here in Texas, I wanted to make sure I had something in stock to keep the summer heat from drying out my skin. I love this stuff. It's an oil, so yes it makes your skin feel a little oily for until it soaks in. I use it at night to avoid walking around looking slick for a while, and always wake up with the softest skin. I've only been using it for a few days and I've already gotten compliments on how my skin feels from others :)

Love how this body oil leaves my skin soft and silky! Sweet, refreshing smell reminds me of summer! I leave it in the shower and quickly apply to my wet skin. Faster than lotion when I a in a hurry. Will purchase again!

Smells great and feels great - definitely on my list of to buy products. You have to apply just the right amount though or it will feel greasy.
