History

Twin sisters Jean and Jane Ford moved from their Indiana hometown to California to pursue modeling, but soon found that they’d rather create makeup than pose with it. They opened their San Francisco boutique in 1976 and gained a loyal following for their candid attitude and unique products.

Philosophy

Fun fun fun. From cheeky product names (Dr. Feelgood, Ooh la Lift) to pop-happy graphics, the line makes it clear that even the most hardworking beauty products don’t have to take themselves seriously.
