Benefit cosmetics really shine with some of their more understated products - and this is certainly one of them. It stains lips without leaving any weird residue and it smells like roses. The applicator reminds me of nail polish (don't confuse the two) but the rest of the packaging is great.
I haven't tried this product on my cheeks yet, but it is the perfect shade of pink/red for lips! I like to layer the color for a more dramatic effect and then put lip balm over!
This took some getting used to applying due to the overpowering rose flavor that you get if you accidentally lick your lips before the product is dry. Once I got the hang of it and figured out to apply the product multiple times & allowing each application to dry before applying another I was pleased with the color. it goes on very watery but a little goes a long way. Very nice color stain.
Hard to get the hang of but once you do, this is a great tool! So easy! I feel like you can layer it and it doesn't look as fake as blush sometimes can. Natural!
Love the dewy fresh look this leaves your skin with. It works great for lips and emergency eye shadow also!
Perfect every time
I love Benetint because it gives the perfect amount of color every time. It's also long lasting, which means no need to reapply all the time!
I love benefit products! I had never used a cheek stain before. I love the color it gives- just brightens your cheeks but doesn't make you look like a clown. In my opinion, it's a little hard to apply. I don't know if it's the small brush in the sample but I feel like I'm just dabbing it on my cheeks then REALLY have to blend it. Overall, I will definitely consider purchasing this when my sample runs out
Great for us low maintenance gals
I don't really use make-up, aside from eyeliner & mascara.
This tint is a wonderful natural blush, and fits easily into my morning 5min of attending to my face before running out the door.
So easy to apply, and forgiving in its placement - don't have to worry about streaks etc - just rub into your cheek while giving yourself a happy smile in the mirror.
The light rose scent is one of my favorite cosmetic scents.
The *perfect* blush look...
So I've experimented with different ways with applying this stain to my lips and cheeks and here's what I've found to be the best application process…
1) One dunk in the bottle, then swipe across the lips
2) Drunk, swipe over right cheek, dunk again swipe over right cheek (let set)
3) One dunk in the bottle, then swipe across the lips (blot lips together
4) Drunk, swipe over left cheek, dunk again swipe over left cheek (let set)
5) One dunk in the bottle, then swipe across the lips (blot lips together
6) Using a blush brush, blend cheek stain (I've tried my hand, a sponge brush, a beauty blender…a plain old blush push seems to leave the most natural finish without soaking up all the product like a sponge does).
BONUS STEP: while the brush is still a little damp from blending Benefit Benetint, apply bronzer to cheek bones for a rosy sun kissed look!
A quick wake-up for your face
I have always been a huge benefit brand fan. Their products are of the highest quality and last a long time (both in the container and on my face). benetint intrigued me because I've always liked lip stains (my husband does not like standard lipstick and I'm not a big fan, either), but this said it could be used on the cheeks, as well. After I use the tint on my lips, defining them and giving them a natural rosy color, under a clear matte lip balm, I put it in my purse "emergency" make-up bag. Now, every time I'm out and about for a long while, I can add some glow to my face. It picks me up, as well, seeing in a mirror that I look healthy and energized with the application of a little bit to my cheeks. I usually don't have to reapply the stain to my lips unless I've eaten. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because there should be advice on the box regarding those with dry skin. If I applied the benetint to my checks, it dried before I could even smooth it over my cheeks, leaving blotches. Now, I first use a light daytime moisturizer on my checks, then use the benetint...perfect!
