History:
After apprenticing with a couture dressmaker in Dubai and studying interior design at Parsons in New York City, Swedish-born Annika Salame founded by boe in 2000. Beginning with a small store and workshop on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, the accessory brand expanded to a larger retail presence in Soho, quickly becoming a favorite for trendsetters and celebrities thanks to one-of-a-kind sculptural bracelets, rings, and necklaces.
Philosophy:
Salame’s aesthetic reflects her eclectic, globetrotting background. Drawing on the foundations of Scandinavian design and her vintage clothing and jewelry collections, each piece is handmade in her New York City studio. Materials include 14-kt gold-fill, sterling silver, and an array of new and antique materials from across the world.
