History

In the early ‘90s, Lisa Price was working on The Cosby Show, and mixing fragrances and creams in her Brooklyn apartment during her spare time. At the suggestion of her mother, Carol, Price started selling her handcrafted products at a local flea market. Her products gained a loyal community followed by attention from celebs and investors. Price eventually opened her first shop in Fort Greene, Brooklyn in 1999. Since then, Carol’s Daughter has become a powerhouse brand, with a huge base of loyal followers as well as high-profile champions like Oprah and Mary J. Blige.

Carol’s Daughter prides itself on creating products that bring out the natural beauty in you. Staying true to its roots, Carol’s Daughter continues to infuse rare natural ingredients into its products.

Birchbox Extra

Price knows the Oprah Effect first-hand — when she appeared on Oprah in 2002, the volume of customer traffic nearly crashed her website.
