Gorjana Reidel got her start in the fashion business as a Ford model. (She also used to knit sweaters with her grandmother in her native Yugoslavia.) Now, she has her own accessory line, which she founded in 2004 with her husband, Jason Griffin Reidel. In their first year, the husband-and-wife team clocked 50,000 miles going door-to-door. Since then, the company has expanded from contemporary jewelry to leather bracelets, handbags, and footwear—and in 2012, they launched Griffin, a men’s accessory line.
Gorjana is all about stylish but eminently wearable bangles, belts, and baubles. Expect simple, elegant classics with an artistic twist, and an East Coast-meets-West vibe, inspired by surf culture and big-city cool. The socially conscious company, which established its own foundation in 2012, also believes in giving back.
The former model’s accessories have A-list cache. Cindy Crawford, Sienna Miller, and Jessica Alba are all fans and the company’s rings, necklaces, and earrings have been featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and InStyle.
