Ask any woman who’s wrestled with a flat iron for hours: the quest to get straight hair can do more harm than good. As a top model during the ‘80s and ‘90s, Kara Young Georgiopolous was all too familiar with the difficulties of taming her coarse, curly head of hair. It wasn’t until she met celebrity hairstylist Anthony Dickey that Georgiopolous learned to love her natural texture. The two set out to teach other women how to work with—not against—their hair by launching Hair Rules, NYC’s first multi-textural salon. Based in Midtown, Hair Rules caters to every kind of hair—from kinky frizz and tight ringlets to baby-fine and stick-straight. Their signature line of products lets you continue the salon experience at home.

Philosophy

Embrace the hair you were born with. Hair Rules developed four specialized hair care collections to nourish kinky, curly, wavy, and straight hair. All their products are designed to perform multiple functions, such as boosting volume and adding shine.
