Over 25 years ago, Japanese starlet Ai Saotome started hunting around for makeup that wouldn’t aggravate her sensitive skin after grueling hours under the harsh lighting conditions filming TV shows and movies. Her long search yielded no results, so she took matters into her own hands to create Koh Gen Do, the first line of stage-ready cosmetics and skincare products formulated with only non-irritating ingredients.
