History

As a child, Nicole Richie loved two of her mother’s chic at-home beauty rituals: bathing with exotic oils and layering scents (perfume and oils on top of lotion) to create an intoxicating, unique fragrance. Inspired by these warm scents from her childhood, Richie decided to create perfumes with the same richness, depth and bohemian femininity.

How it works

Richie favors classic notes like amber, papyrus, lily of the valley, sandalwood, and cashmere woods. For a multi-layered experience, she pairs the notes with fruity blackberry and orange, along with the more seductive sugared patchouli and vanilla absolute.

To create the sophisticated bottle for the scent, Richie worked with luxury designer Dale Brandon Kan. The duo came up with a multi-faceted, elegant bottle shape that incorporated art nouveau and art-deco influences.
