HISTORY

When she was an actress, Jennifer Yen’s daily beauty regimen included a dramatic transformation into the evil sorceress Vypra, one of the stars of Power Rangers. All that costume makeup aggravated her already sensitive skin, triggering bouts of acne, hives, and rosacea. After researching into her grandmother’s traditional Chinese remedies, she found the solution to her skin issues: blue lotus and white tea. She traded in her dragon wings and skintight pants for a white lab coat and founded pūr~lisse, a line designed to heal all skin types.

PHILOSOPHY

pūr~lisse takes its name from the French words for pure and smooth, and also makes those two things its mission. The brand combines traditional Chinese ingredients and rituals with modern technology to create effective, luxurious products. The star of many of its formulations is the Lotus Lupine Peptide Complex, a proprietary mixture of blue lotus, white tea, and plant-based extracts. In addition, all pūr~lisse products are made without parabens and harsh synthetics.
