History

It took a skin cancer diagnosis for Jill Scalisi to realize there was no two-in-one SPF moisturizer on the market that left her skin sufficiently protected. She left her two-decade-long career as an investment banker and partnered with a team of talented bio-pharmaceutical chemists to create exactly the product she was looking for. After years of clinical research and recipe-tweaking, she launched Scalisi Skincare in March 2012 to offer science-backed skincare products that combine proven anti-aging properties with crucial, broad-spectrum sun protection.

Philosophy

Skincare science, simplified. Scalisi’s roots are in the laboratory, but understanding their technology is easier than you’d think. When a collagen chain breaks down due to sun exposure, natural aging, or a cut, molecules called peptides alert your skin cells that more collagen is needed to repair the break.
