HISTORY

Not all mineral cosmetics are created equal. For Pauline Youngblood, the founder of Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics it was her career as a medical aesthetician that spurred her desire to create products for patients who underwent medical procedures and needed to cover imperfections as their skin healed. Youngblood devised a paraben-free collection made up primarily of four finely milled minerals that are free of heavy filters and pore-clogging ingredients, which allows even acne prone skin to breathe underneath layers of foundation and powder. A note: While the main ingredient in the line’s mineral foundation is titanium dioxide, a bit of natural UVA/UVB protection, it’s not enough to warrant skipping your usual sunblock.
