great nail polish. deep color after 2 coats. not alot of chipping. would buy again
Best black polish I've tried
Have a little patience applying this one--really load the brush, use two thick coats, and use topcoat. But it gives a really deep, elegant black that is more "lady wearing a tuxedo to be cool" than "hey look I'm a Goth today". As the description says, a beautiful option when a broken nail has made you chop them off shorter than you'd like.
A great pearly-black
I love this nail polish and the color. In my opinion, it's not a harsh black, it's a nice pearly black adn that makes it good for wearing year round. Plus, Ruffian just makes darn good and reliable nail polish.
I loved this color. It's my winter go to but the polish did take a bit long to try. I do like the cute bottle! :)
love a good black nail polish!
If you're looking for an awesome, sleek-finish black nail polish, this is the one you need! I don't even want to wear anything else because I really like this texture a lot. It also didn't chip very quickly, which I liked.
A perfect Shade
I received the orange shade of the Ruffian nail polish in my birchbox and loved it. When I saw this shade, I became very excited. I was very happy that the color actually lived up to my expectation. I highly recommend this line, especially this color!!
Effortlessly Rough Around the Edges
I have encountered few other polishes that toe the line between elegant and edgy so well. With a nearly black hue and the slightest shimmer, I find that it works best under a matte coat. As I found with Ruffian's Hedge Fund, the wear is long-lasting with only minimal chipping before I reapplied just out of sheer habit.
The size of the product is depressingly small, however, and just after a few months of regular use I'm already looking to buy another bottle. Additionally, I find that the dry time is also quite long, but that just gives me an excuse to be a little bit lazier than I otherwise would be!
I love it!
I love this polish! I love the consistency and the color. And it lasts a good while for me too, and I'm kind of hard on polished nails. I use this polish often. My only disappointment is that the bottle isn't bigger.
I tried this on a whim. I haven't worn black polish since high school. But this looked chic instead of grungy and I really liked it.
This is a very wearable, mature, classy shade of black/onyx-- nothing "emo" or preteen about it! It applies evenly, lasts at least one week without chipping (which is pretty impressive for a DIY mani), and removes cleanly. BUY RUFFIAN COLORS, they are SO worth the $$.
