I really like using this for facial massages rather than it's intended use (makeup removal). It works fine enough at removing makeup and even waterproof mascara with a little rubbing, but it feels so nice moisturized into the skin to help massage and stimulate blood circulation in the face. Love the all natural ingredients list too.
Excellent and easy
No scrubbing needed! I put this on a cotton ball and my heavy eye makeup wipes off with one wipe. I LOVE that I don't have to scrub the heck out of my face! It also leaves my face feeling moisturized. It is a little pricey, but worth it.
Very oily but good
This product was a little oily for me, but very good if you have sensitive eye area. I will definitely buy again if I do not find something for sensitive eye area.
I love this and use it nightly as an oil cleanser to remove my makeup and the grime from the day from my skin. It's light and lovely, and doesn't clog my skin.
Could I make this my self? Absolutely! SW Basics started as a DIY workshop, but the customers demanded to buy the products. I love the quality of the ingredients and the mission the founder is on to source responsible ingredients. So, until I can do the same, I will continue to buy this lovely, natural, nourishing product.
it works, but...
Like a lot of people here -- I also found this to be heavy and oily on my eyes. It works, but I feel like I have to swipe my eyes a lot and then they feel heavy.
Way too oily
This product was very oily on my skin. I would try to rinse it off with water but it still was stuck to my face. Maybe it would be best used as a night time makeup remover only. I would not purchase this product again.
Will buy again
I was skeptical about using oil to clean my face. My skepticism was quickly dissolved the first time I used this product. My face broke out less and it was so fresh looking
Not the greatest
I bought this because I recently switched all of my products to ones without chemicals. This was nothing special I could have easily used olive oil instead. Pretty expensive for "so-so" results.
To remove makeup I usually go to the makeup remover cloth but sometimes need a little more attention. I just dab some on a cotton ball when I'm having a hard time removing a lip stain or waterproof mascara and eyeliners and viola! Instantly fixed. Make sure you cleanse after use as it is a very oily mixture.
This works well to remove eye makeup, but you can purchase all of these oils used in this for a fraction of the price.
