I am very disappointed with this set because I usually love the Deborah Lippmann products. The base coat doesn't seem to adhere to the nail, so it basically makes a peel-off layer below the nail color. The top coat does not last any longer than my usual top coat--I still get chips within 24 hours of applying. The two products combined means that the polish peels off in large chunks rather than little chips. I tried the top coat alone and it still gets chips within 24 hours, but at least they are small little nicks and not big chunks.

This did not even hold up as well as my regular base and topcoat much less anything like what a gel manicure would provide. I followed the directions exactly, waiting a full minute between steps, but my polish began chipping and peeling right off the next day. Expected more from this brand, especially for the price - Returned.

I think I would have liked this product more if they didn't claim it was the same as a gel manicure. It is a nice top coat/bottom coat, and it keeps your nails looking good for a while, but it is not nearly as hard or long lasting as a gel manicure.

I was spending a fortune on gel manicures and doing a number on my nails in the process. This seems like a happy medium for me. I can get the ease and strength of a gel manicure at home for less money. It doesn't last as long but it does last longer than other base/top coats I've used - and it dries MUCH faster. I can polish and be dry in just about 10 minutes which makes it feasible for me to change my polishes whenever.

Considering the steep price of this product, I didn't get any more wear than my regular base and top coat (about 3 days). I had major chips on day 3 and definitely taking it off here on day 4. I was hoping for a few more days out of it given the hype but I will try again tonight and give it another chance. It is possible that I need to be more careful and paint the tips of my nails really well so I will try that too...overall, not really worth the price so far.

No, it won't provide a gel manicure. However, it's much healthier and still a great base/top coat pair. I've been using this since it came out, and I've used probably 1/8 of each bottle (you can see the gap between the product level and the top of the bottle). It's very quick-drying and provides a fantastic, glossy finish. In my many trials, I've discovered that it does work best with Deborah Lippmann polishes (I got 6 chip-free days with Careless Whisper and was so happy to finally get a chip so I could justify changing polish). This set retails within a few dollars of buying base and top coats- and since the formula has worked so well for me, I can justify the premium.

I have been using this product for 3 weeks and love it! My nails look great, I have had many people think it is a professional manicure. I have done my nails weekly and the polish stays put without chipping. I am a fan!

I work at jewelry store and my nails need to look good every time I go to work. I decided to splurge on this set because I like her polish and tend to have good luck with it. I am very disappointed with this product. It chips so easily and quickly. It's nice because it dries quickly, however it chips off the next day. I have never had it last me longer than a day. I would not recommend this unless you are looking for a one day manicure.

we have used this for two weeks now, and it will chip if you are kind of hard on your nails. that is par for the course if you are not using "real" gel manicures. but it is lasting much longer on all three of us, than any previous base and top coat combos we have used. one base coat, two nail polish coats, and one top coat is perfect. and it is thus far one of the best i have used for strong, and i mean STRONG nails and less breakage and splitting. so me, and my two college girls are pretty happy with this. true we would prefer a 10 day manicure, but, it isnt a bad deal as it is. and we do love Lippmanns'.

This went on smooth and was easy to apply. It definitely will not last 2-3 weeks like a salon gel manicure but it's a good/quick alternative to a gel manicure. I pick at my nails and cuticles a lot but this last fairly good for me for about a week. Honestly, the same color from a salon gel manicure gets really old after the 2nd week so I like this alternative. Also - it's a good price when you compare to a salon gel manicure.
