Birchbox Breakdown

These are not the bobby pins of your grade school years. (Unless you came of age in a parallel universe with much better hair accessories, in which case we want to hear all about it.) Jane Tran’s eye-catching bobby pins, in bright patterns and colors, are made to stand out. Slightly wider and sturdier than the typical hairpin, they’ll keep your hair in place all day.

How it Works

Snag-free enamel and a slight upward bend at the tip helps these bobby pins slide easily over strands.

How to Use

Open slightly and slip into hair. For a stronger statement, stack two or three pins together.

ehhh

i thought that these were going to be larger bobby pins for the 12 dollar price tag. disappointed. they're even skinnier than the bobby pins that i bought at a local drugstore. the only plus is the fun colors. fyi: the plastic holder/package it comes in is literally like 3 inches tall by 1.5 inches wide.
so if you dont mind the price, go for it.

Eh...

I wanted to like these, but just didn't. The colors are super cute, but they don't lay flat in my hair like traditional bobby pins do, and for the price, I'd rather they be super awesome than just "eh."

Adorable!

Wish there was a teal/turquoise color, but other than that...absolutely love the colors! So much more fun than plain old bobby pins.

Very fashionable

I love these for their petite size. These are NOT a full size bobby pin but are perfect for bangs and accessorizing. I like the diverse colors and styles they come in and they are not cheaply made like the ones you buy in stores. I would recommend these to others.

Cute

I don't know why I thought these would be bigger. They are just regular bobby pins coated with bright enamel. I'm not disappointed though, they are super cute! I will get a ton of use out of them.

Decent

These are totally adorable, but theyre a bit big for my liking and I found hard to get out of my hair. Like I said, super cute...just didn't work for me!

cute but very difficult to use

Since these don't have any ridges and are very tight, I find it very hard to put it and hold as a regular bobby pin would. I have to use regular bobby pins to hold in the hair and maybe put one of these in as an accent. It definitely doesn't hold the hair very well on it's own.

these bobby pins makes me hate all other pins

I put some regular bobby pins in my hair today and the difference as startling! Something about the way Jane Tran pins conform to the shape of my head makes them far superior to anything else on the market.

Okay...

These are ok. Nothing crazy great. Color is fun, otherwise same as drugstore brand quality wise. Hefty price for color/design.

Cute and Functional

These are great for pulling back rogue hair and add a bit of style at the same time. I'm considering buying in other colors.
