Birchbox Breakdown

Sometimes the rest of your face just gets in the way when you’re applying mascara. Even when you’re careful, it inevitably smudges on your eye lid and below your bottom lashes. Now there’s a way to prevent these common snafus: Lash Card, based on the makeup artist trick of using a cut out business card. This thick card keeps smears away and can also be used to separate any clumps. It comes in a cute package that slides right into your makeup bag.

How it Works

The card is designed to cover the eyelid so that you can paint, paint, paint your lashes without worrying about any stray formula. It’s also thin enough to get into the corners of your eyes and has two different sized curves so you can pick the one that fits your eye best.

How to Use

The individually wrapped cards are cut to fit above your eyelid and only meant to be used once. After you remove the card from the package find the curve that best fits your eye. Don’t push too hard, but lift your lashes up onto the card and apply your mascara just as you otherwise would. Use the card to separate any clumps or to coax your lashes into the desired curve.
