The salt needs to be kept sealed. Love the taste! However, it does have a very strong smell and if you aren't a fan of truffles, this is not the salt for you.

this is the most umami flavor i have ever enjoyed. sprinkle it on butter and spread on bread, sprinkle on popcorn, salad dressing, anything! barely takes more than a shake - super potent and wonderful!!

I purchased this for an Italian friend for Christmas and she loved it! It's actually smaller than it looks, but very nice packaging. i would recommend it for a gift.

i tried the food items on a lark when ordering some products. Found this to be interesting, definitely goes with chicken or popcorn but not something I reach for on a regular basis.

For all of you foodies out there this salt is a must buy! It has a wonderful scent and flavor. It gives food an extra something that will make your guests keep wondering how you developed such culinary skills. I don't think it smells gamey, I like the scent and flavor is out of this world!

I love this salt and put it on everything! Goes great on popcorn and on roasted potatoes. Might be off-putting to someone who has never tried truffles before but it makes my mouth water!

I've been using this for everything and have been loving it in everything I put salt in. I've mainly been using it for cooking as it gives a great dimension of flavor to the food. I had to comment about the the smell in the home box though, I smelled that smell too, it was very unpleasant but you can't blame the salt it was the bamboo silicone spatulas, the bamboo had an awful smell that stunk up the whole box, it went away after washing the spatulas about 3 times. So please don't give this salt a bad rap, if you really investigated the smell you would have seen that it wasn't this awesome salt. It's got it's own mushroomy smell but it wasn't that really bad smell in the box it was the spatulas.

I am obsessed with this salt. I have been putting it on everything, especially popcorn. A little bit goes a long way!

The dried truffles bring so much flavor to your plate. Try it in a risotto! Amazing on popcorn and French fries!!!
