The first time I used this, I adored it. Strong enough to really clean but didn't strip. Refreshing and left my skin very smooth and ready to absorb my moisturizer. The second time, however, was less pleasant. I had started using a rx strength retinoid about 3 days before and took this cleanser with me on an overnight trip. I think that the ingredients in the cleanser that brighten were just too strong for my newly sensitive skin. Nothing catastrophic happened, my face just stung while I washed it and instead of feeling smooth when I was done it felt irritated. Lesson learned. I'll be trying this again once my skin adjusts to the new routine.

The significant ruddy sun damage on my nose caused by severe sunburn one month ago is nearly GONE after a using this every evening for a week. I have very sensitive fair skin too. I've had no problems with drying irritation or breaking out in a rash. And kudos for the generous sample!

I don't like this one at all. It has a weird smell to it and it makes my skin kind of itchy. The worst part is the smell though and after 2 times using it I stopped. I just couldn't take the smell anymore.

I loved the deluxe sample I received back when and bought the full size. People talk about the smell but it's just licorice which help with the brightening effect. I like the scent.

I use this daily with my Clarisonic, and it leaves my skin soft, smooth and breakout-free. Sometimes fragrances in skin products turn me off, but this doesn't have a scent.

Love this! Slight licorice smell but if you can get past that it makes your skin fabulous! Never felt softer.

This cleanser is fantastic at brightening the skin, meaning fading sun spots and helping your face even out in color. However, it's not a gentle cleanser. I use it every night and my face is bright red after washing it off. The next day I see the results so it's worth it for me. I can't use this in the morning though because of the redness. All in all, I love this cleanser because my skin tone has evened out considerably since using it.

I love that I got this in my birchbox, the sample was very large, it lasted way over a month with daily use. It left my skin feeling smooth and clean. I liked the scent also. I would absolutely purchase this item.

Great to use with my Clarisonic! Feels refreshing and gives a great clean! I light the brightening aspect of it, and I think using it with the brush just makes it work that much faster.
