I love the convenience of eye shadow palettes. I prefer them to single eye shadows because you just can't beat that level of convenience. Unfortunately, I find that a majority of palettes are comprised entirely of shimmery shades! This is very impractical for myself and I imagine for many people, so when I saw this palette, I had to have it! It's made up entirely of matte shades (very pretty matte shades at that). It's incredibly versatile and you can pull off everything from a neutral daytime look to a smokey evening look. I find that I'm using this palette more than anything else I have and if you're hesitant about purchasing it, don't be! If you like matte and/or neutral shades you will love this palette! I've even gifted this item to a few of my friends who I know were in the market for an all-matte palette. This really is a great one by Stila and though I purchased it before discovering Birchbox, I'm very happy to see it on their site! I would give this palette five stars, but I didn't care for the eyeliner (it broke on me within one week of owning this palette).

I didn't think anything could top the "In the Light" Stila palette, but I think this does! The colors are incredible and so versatile. They go on great wet or dry, layer beautifully, and are long lasting even without a primer. Definitely worth it!

Great variety of colors- love that it comes with the eyeliner pencil too. This will definitely last a long time as well- well worth the money spent.

Stila makes fabulous eyeshadow, my hands down favorite eyeshadow brand. This palette has a great collection of colors, very wearable.

The colors in this palette are very nicely chosen - they are nice neutrals for everyday wear, as well as a darker shade for the smokey eye evening look. The pigments go on nicely. The liner is also a very nice touch, and goes on nicely as well.

I have gotten so many compliments when I use these. It comes with a great how-to book to give you ideas. Also love the smudge liner.

I'm very much a shimmery eyeshadow girl kind of girl, but I hadn't realized how much I would love and NEED basic matte shadows until I got this palette. They're so helpful for blending, highlighting and contouring. It's the most versatile palette I own, I think. The burnt, muted orange color is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I was a little intimidated at first but if you use it right, it can make your eyes pop in a lovely way without looking crazy. The little look booklet that comes with the palette is great for getting started if you're a bit stumped and it's great for some inspiration. The grey liner included is fabulous too; I'm so happy Stila included it instead of a typical black liner. It's creamy, smooth and great for using as a base as well as lining. I can't say enough good things about this palette. It's full of essential colors and you can do a million-and-one things with it. The packaging is sleek and beautiful (love the blue, my favorite color). I want to go back and get the more purple-toned "In the Moment" palette now. Love!!!

I bought this palette because I have always wanted to try Stila products. With the great colours I went for it.. These colours are so great for both Autumn and Spring. They last a long time and have great pigment!! The eye liner goes on smoothly with no tug. I jsut over all like this whole palette and would recommend it.

I like the eyeshadow but it seems like it doesn't stay on very long and it takes a lot to get a good base color before you apply the darker colors. The eyeliner is Amazing & stays on very well! If you don't want a lot of color, it's great.

A little large to be practical for travel but okay for home use. Not as basic as I hoped (wanted a good all purpose shadow kit for everything from natural to smokey eyes) and although this one has some good basic colors, it is not exactly what I was looking for (i.e. the orange shadow?? How exactly does it fit in with the rest of this kit?). I don't really think that the shadow texture blends very well but it is okay. The smudge stick has a great texture though!
