Hair Downer#1: Not Enough Time For A Proper Blowout

DiMaggio's Tip: To cut down on drying time, DiMaggio says hold off on using a brush. “Apply product and then ‘power dry’ about 80 percent with just your hands and a quality dryer, then throw a brush in there.”

Hair Downer #2: Static-y Hair

DiMaggio's Tip: DiMaggio recommends investing in quality products, which are less likely to leave hair dry and damaged—a huge cause of unruly and frizzy curls.

It adds a little more memory and hold that’s needed in big hair.” He says to dry hair almost completely, focusing on drying the roots straight up. “Drying the roots up is key,” DiMaggio says, “That’s where your volume comes from.”
