Dateless this Weekend? Dr. Ruth Recommends the Laundromat.

Theres obviously nothing wrong with being single, on Valentines Day or any other day of the year. But for guys who do happen to be on the hunt for The One, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, now 87-years-old, has some unusual advice: Do your laundry. Whether in the basement of your building or at the Laundromat, seeing you in the domestic trenches, she claims, may be the ticket to someone's heart.

The doctor's pearls of wisdom include:

Wear your hygiene on your sleeve. [Doing your laundry] shows you have a serious commitment to cleanliness. (We thought it was more fundamental than that, but whatever.)

Dont look miserable. Your face should say, 'How lucky I am to be doing the laundry and you're present.'

Disconnect. Don't take your iPhone or your computer. Bring a book, because then you'll have something to talk about.

Leave it open-ended. Say, 'How much more time do have on your laundry? Are you free after?'" (Ideally, the pile of unfolded underwear runs out before the conversation does.)

But its not just for bachelors. Dr. Ruth claims laundry can light the spark in existing relationships, too. If you have a washing machine at home, try to use it when your partner's there. It might be very sexually arousing.

The mundane task of sock matching just got a lot more interesting.
