Mantry Presents: The Bacon Bloody Mary

As a quintessential cocktail, the Bloody Mary is no stranger to variation. However, in our (extensive) experience, few hold a candle to this bacon-fueled recipe from the culinary minds at Mantry. For the uninitiated, Mantry is a subscription service that caters to adventurous palates, furnishing guys with a monthly box of artisanal, hard-to-find foodstuffs, from bourbon-soaked marshmallows to Tartufo salami. Speaking frankly, they had us all the way back at "bacon."


2 ounces Stu's Bloody Mary Concentrate
6 ounces tomato juice
1 ounce vodka
2 strips crispy smoked bacon
1 celery stalk
sea salt


1. First, crumble one strip of bacon—the crispier the better—and combine the bits with sea salt to create a bacon salt garnish.

2. Rim a pint glass with bacon salt, then add the concentrate, tomato juice, and vodka over ice.

3. Stir well. Garnish with a celery stalk and a second strip of bacon.

4. Drink and repeat, as many times as desired.
