Prides X Birchbox Man: The Spring Fever Playlist

Scottish synthpop sensation Prides is enjoying a bright 2014, having just wrapped a U.S. tour in support of their The Seeds You Sow EP. The title track is an empowering one: "[It’s] about realizing that the things that happen around you are a result of your own actions,” says vocalist Stewart Brock. “The vocal hook is all about letting go, losing yourself, shouting as loud as you can, caution to the wind." That about sums up our feelings here at the tail end of this brutal winter. So we enlisted the guys to assemble a springtime playlist to fit the same theme.

Listen to the Prides X Birchbox Man Spring Fever Playlist below. You can also stream the full playlist on Spotify.

Thumpers, Unkinder
“Biggest indie pop tune we’ve heard in forever. We played some shows with Thumpers at SXSW and they could not be nicer guys!”

Bombay Bicycle Club, Luna
“They really stepped it up a level on this new record.”

Foster The People, Coming of Age
“Same reason we've always loved Foster The People: We can’t stop singing it.”

Joywave, Tongues
“We caught these guys at CMJ last year and have listened to this track about 100,000 times since…it’s a belter!”

Dan Croll, From Nowhere
“Been listening to this a lot on tour, really love the album.”

Speak, Carrie
“We just got off tour with these guys, the vocal riff on the intro is MASSIVE!”

Metronomy, I’m Aquarius
“Why is there so much hiss on this record? Amazing otherwise.”

MØ, XXX 88
“Great voice, great track. A Diplo production. Nailed It!”

Jungle, Busy Earnin’
“You can’t get enough.”

Arcade Fire, Here Comes The Night Time
“Saw them at Barrowlands as The Reflektors. Prides award for Best Live Act.”

Autre Ne Veut, Ego Free Sex Free
“Getting away with saying things only Prince should be allowed to say.”
