We've Upped Our Game

When we first launched BirchboxMan five years ago, the lifestyle item in our monthly boxes was a necessary gateway to groomingand it came with a higher price point. Now, five years later, the grooming category has become more mainstream and were seeing a broader, more diverse group of men coming to us for guidance finding the right products (especially skincare, which 60 percent of our subscribers request!). The majority have a beginner to intermediate level of grooming expertise and are ready to upgrade from their go-to drugstore brands, while others are more proficient and are game to test-drive new types of products (welcome to the wild west of exfoliators, face oils, and masks!). To serve this growing audience, were evolving our subscription offerings to effortlessly equip all menregardless of their current grooming know-howwith the right products for their needs.

This month were launching a $10 monthly box that features five personalized grooming samples across hair, skincare, shave/beard, body, and fragrance. Its the easiest, most efficient way for guys to upgrade their grooming regimens. Subscribers will now be able to try more products each month, personalized according to their individual preferences, from the most comprehensive portfolio of prestige grooming brands in the industry.

Well continue to offer the $20 boxwhich will now be called BirchboxMan Plusfor our subscribers who love receiving a full-size lifestyle item each month, and were even adding a fifth grooming sample to the box as well. Our goal is to allow men to pick the monthly experience thats most relevant to their needs: $10/month for five grooming samples, or $20/month for five grooming samples plus a full-size lifestyle item (like a tech gadget or apparel). Youll notice that our boxes got a makeover too: they now come in blue, green, or gray instead of kraft.

At BirchboxMan we know that most men dont want to navigate aisles of products, but they do want help figuring out what they should be using. This is where our algorithms come into play and do the product-matchmaker work so our subscribers can sit back and get the best stuff sent right to their doorstep each month. Then, if they try something they love, they can upgrade to the full-sized version in the BirchboxMan Shop, and earn points on each purchase.
