What you’ll need:
Colorful crepe paper cut in 5x7 inch rectangles
Step 1: Neatly stack four sheets of crepe paper together vertically on a flat surface.
Step 2: Decide on the length of your garland, then cut a piece of twine of the same length.
Step 3: Accordion fold the stack of paper, making sure both of the short ends are facing the same direction when finished. This will be the front of the flower.
Step 4: Use scissors to diagonally cut each corner of the folded stack, so that each end comes to a point.
Step 5: Leaving some extra room at the end, tie the twine around the folded stack so that the knot is facing the back of the flower.
Step 6: Fan out one end of the stack, gently separating each layer of crepe paper. Repeat on the other end and shape the layers as needed to create a full-looking flower.
Step 7: Repeat steps 1 through 6 for each flower. Spread out evenly along the twine, leaving room at the end for hanging. We recommend making one flower per foot of twine.
Step 8: Let the party begin!
