It's hard to believe that Michelle Williams and Liza Minelli share anything in common. But on April 24, Williams will step into the shoes made famous by Minelli in a new Broadway revival of Cabaret. With her seemingly reserved nature, there's no doubt that Williams will have an entirely new take on Sally Bowles, a nightclub performer struggling to make it in 1930s Berlin. And while we can't wait to see how Williams tears up the boards at the Roundabout Theater, right now we're hooked on her bold onstage look reminiscent of the Louis Vuitton campaign she stunned us with in 2013.
When it comes to this retro-glam makeup (and, come to think of it, when it comes to Ms. Bowles), it's all about extremes. Start by dusting a light gold shadow from Coastal Scents' Revealed Palette all over lids, shading in the crease with a slightly darker hue. Follow with a thin line of jet black liquid liner like stila's stay all day waterproof liquid eye liner and a pair of dramatic faux eyelashes like these from JAPONESQUE. Get Bowles' drawn-on arches with Anastasia Beverly Hills' Brow Whiz. Lastly, apply a bold, berry-red lip like Jouer's Hydrating Lipstick in Ava to seal the deal. End scene.
