The Grown-Up, Korean Version of Lip Smackers

Our hearts broke a little bit a few months ago when we heard the news that our beloved Lip Smackers, the balms responsible for getting many of us hooked on makeup years ago, were being discontinued stateside. But after recently discovering Chosungah 22s Flavorful Lipsticksthe sweet-smelling Korean half-lipstick-half-balms that are now in our Shopgrowing up doesnt seem so bleak.

The brainchild of Cho Sung Ah, one of Korea's most famous makeup artists who helped ignite the K-Beauty craze, the sleek black tubes are perfectly appropriate to pull out during a meetingbut they aren't all work and no play: Each one contains a bright shade that would have mesmerized even your pre-teen self. Packed with sophisticated hydrators like silky vitamin E and hydrating argan oil, these lipsticks fall on various points of the coverage spectrum: Jello Orange will give you the opaque color commitment of a regular lipstick, while Vanilla Berry leaves a semi-sheer pop of coloreither way you swipe, you'll get the non-sticky shine of a glossy balm.

And then theres the most important Lip Smacker similarity: The practically edible scents. Instead of Dr. Pepper and Cherry Coke, these moisturizing hybrids come in refreshing, summer-friendly (and arguably better-for-you) flavors. (Consider them your backup plan when access to popsicles is limited.) We may have long since traded in our Trapper Keepers and jelly sandals for laptops and heels, but we have a hunch well be finding every excuse to reapply these lipsticks just as often as our first loves.
