The founder of Strala Yoga, a now-nationwide yoga movement, and face of Reebok’s yoga lifestyle line, Stiles also shares our love of wholesome, tasty noshes. Just check out her Energy Bowl, an ideal weeknight pick-me-up, or her very crave-able update on the classic Frosty. Now she’s got a new book, Make Your Own Rules Diet, that’s full of delicious inspiration. One of favorites: the Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie. It’s a wholesome update on your favorite summer treat that makes for a slightly decadent on-the-go breakfast or a sweet afternoon snack.
Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie
Makes 2 large smoothies or 3 smaller ones
1 ½ cups frozen strawberries OR 1 cup fresh strawberries
1 cup ice
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup cashews
1 cup almond milk
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions: Add ingredients to blender or Vitamix. Blend until fully combined. Ed Note: The smoothie will be very thick (spoon-able, even!). We added an extra half-cup of ice and a little water to make it extra icy and sip-able. You can also thin it out with almond milk!
