While you were busy dying over Beyonce's history-making performance, you may have missed some of the best beauty trends on display at the always-surprising awards show. We were particularly impressed with the bold—yet totally wearable—looks we saw on this year’s red carpet. Luckily, it only takes one or two high impact products to recreate their style:
Taylor Swift’s Colorful Cat Eye
We’ve been really hoping that colored eyeliner is here to stay, and the "Shake It Off" singer gave us the confirmation we needed last night. To get Taylor’s look, line your upper and lower lashes with Cynthia Rowley Beauty Eyeliner in sky blue. If you really want that color to pop, draw a thin line with a black liner close to your lash line before you apply the colored one—and for even more dramatic effect, flick to create Swift's signature cat eye.
Ariana Grande’s Purple Lips
Repeat after us, ladies—purple lips are not scary! Ariana is here to prove that it is not a "problem". Just a few swipes of LAQA and Co. Lip Lube in Menatour is all you need to replicate that gorgeous shade. If you like the color but don’t think you want to go that bold, only apply one layer.
Lorde’s Pre-Show Patches
If you follow Lorde on Twitter, then you probably saw her de-puffing her eyes pre-show before those TV cameras got up close and personal. You can do the same before your next big night out with a little help from Skyn Iceland’s cooling eye gels. Let's just call it the "royal" treatment.
Iggy Azalea's Slicked Back ‘Do
Iggy brought back the sleek hair trend we've been seeing for a few years now, and made it look brand new. We loved how she embraced this minimalist style, and let the glitz and glamour of her dress do the rest. Follow these steps to get the singer's chic slicked back look.
Nina Dobrev's Pumped Up Pony
Nina took the humble ponytail to the next level last night, mastering that intentionally messy finish and I-didn't-try-too-hard waves. Plus, it let us admire her gorgeous makeup, starring some major orange lips (another trend we love). Watch this voluminous ponytail tutorial to DIY for your next big event.
