Given that children don't come with instruction manuals (if only!), it's up to parents to decide what’s best for their little ones. One big challenge? Finding bathing and grooming products both gentle enough for youngsters, but strong enough to clean them up after a day spent digging in the dirt. Since the options on the market can be overwhelming, we've asked five fashion and beauty superstar moms to give us the scoop on their tried-and-trues. Read on for top-notch recs ranging from shampoos to diaper creams to hairbrushes.
"Fortunately (or unfortunately), my passion for beauty products extends to the things I use on my son, Miles. I love California Baby’s Calming Diaper Cream and Super Sensitive Everyday Lotion. Both have little to no scent and are so gentle on his delicate skin. One more favorite is Babyganics Kissy Face Lip & Face Balm. It's perfect for when my son's cheeks and nose get dry."

"My kids are in their pre-teen years, so keeping their skin clear can be a challenge. They're too young to have a full skincare regime, so I keep it easy and have them use Neutrogena's face wipes. After cleansing, I have them apply La Roche Posay's Effaclar Duo, which contains benzoyl peroxide. It’s a great preventative treatment without being too harsh.

"Every morning, I spray on my fragrance and then spray my girls with Bonpoint's Alcohol-Free Perfume. They love it! The scent reminds me of my childhood. And I always use my brush, Mason Pearson's Detangler Hair Brush, to brush their hair.”

"Burt's Bees! Although I love their entire Baby Bee line, I'm specifically obsessed with the Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash. It doesn't dry out my son Zeplin's skin and I love the smell of it so much that I want to eat him! It's clean but still sweet as honey."
