Mason jars are oh-so-versatile! Watch this DIY tutorial to learn how to give yours a second (and third and fourth) life as a vase, brush holder, and more.
Place the mason jar on top of newspaper, then use an indoor spray paint to coat the outside of the jar.
You may need two to three coats for proper coverage.
Pop in some flowers et voila! Such a pretty vase.
To create a “glass half full” effect, cover the bottom part of the mason jar with your tape.
Spray paint away, then allow the jar to dry.
Carefully remove the tape to reveal…
…a lovely new place to stash your makeup brushes.
If you’re feeling a little more ambitious, cut the tape to create a pattern—easy ones are stripes or diagonals. Strategically place the tape patterns on the jar. Just a friendly reminder that wherever you place it will be see-through.
Allow the paint to dry before removing the tape.
Stash some blueberries (or whatever you please) in there.
