The Issa arrives in a rigid cardboard box much like any new high-end electronic hand held product. Inside the box is the handle, one attached silicone tooth brush head, a sleeve for holding the brush during travel, and one USB powered charging cable (you supply the power source). The product manual is limited and refers to a website. It does mention to "spray the device with Foreo's Silicone Cleaning Spray" for optimal results. The device charged in under an hour with a 0.75 mA charger. Its supposed to run ~360 times on that charge. The handle has buttons to adjust speed to your preference.
After using the device for about a week, I can say that it appears to work well at cleaning teeth and gums. It is gentle and the curved tip is able to reach around surfaces of the back molars. No pressure is needed and teeth have the "fresh from the dentist polished feel" with out appearing to run the risk of too much abrasion. Time and the next dental check-up will be informative, but first impressions are that the Issa is pretty effective while being gentle on the enamel. Note the silicone projections on this brush are not fine enough to go between teeth -- flossing will likely be more important with this type of brush.
The Foreo website also shows potential accessories consisting of a hybrid brush that includes center rows of traditional bristles and a tongue cleaning blade.
