Despite owning two metal flasks, I opted to try taking this hip flask out on my 4th of July backpacking trip. The cap could not hold securely, and leaked in my pack before I even got to the trailhead. I poured my whiskey into a more well constructed disposable Athena water bottle, and left this in the trash at the trailhead. You could find better at REI for less than $10, I'm sure. Garbage.
I used this once and it felt cheap and didn't seem like it would do well with camping. Not sure how to enhance it, but when I saw how much it cost, I was even less impressed.
For the price it does not seem worth it to me. It is a plastic flask and the hook that hooks around your belt buckle or whatnot seems flimsy. Cool colors though and will hold a lot of booze or water.
"No Frills" Indeed
Your basic plastic flask. It has a screw on cap and a loop for attaching to your belt/bag/etc. I'm not sure how long something could be in this flask before it takes on the taste of the plastic, not to mention the effects of outdoor extreme heat or cold.
Pretty cool but hard to fill
This is kind of a cool product, definitely a good gift, but it is kind of hard to fill. I would recommend it as a stocking stuffer because the price is really good
