We brush our teeth twice a day without fail, but we always find ourselves in a bit of a bind right after snacks and meals. Since we’re not about to give up snacking, we freshen our breath with these convenient mouthwash packets. They’re filled with a proprietary powder that neutralizes odors while gently removing surface stains—just add water to the pouch to create a single-dose rinse.
I am very conscious of my oral hygiene and loved getting a sample of this in my Birchbox. I purchased a full size box and carried the packets with me in all my purses for a while. I haven't repurchased recently because when I really wanted to use the product (while traveling) I didn't have any bottled water and didn't want to use the tap water overseas. That's the advantage of already mixed mouth wash -- it's always good to go.3
Well, I'm fairly stuck in the middle of like and dislike with the Supersmile Powdered Mouthrinse. I thought it was a great idea when i found it in my box what with it being perfect for travel since you just add water straight to the packet (though i really wanted more makeup or skin care, not reminders of scary dentist visits!); however, upon trying it, i disliked the taste immensely. It almost tastes salty, or like i was gargling with liquid Crest White strips (yeah, that funky taste of the whitening gel), so that alone dropped my rating of the product. I want stuff that goes in my mouth to taste good, especially when its a mouthrinse. Also, most of the product stayed in the packet instead of in my mouth (maybe put the sample in a container that we can shake up next time?). With that said, The product definitely made my teeth whiter after one use so that was really the only plus. I guess i am overall biased because, as said above, i don't need more dentist reminders (and seeing that some subscribers received the exact box as me except they got a Beauty Blender instead of the mouthrinse made me very jealous!) Overall, I was glad to get to try something i may have overlooked anywhere else but i don't think i'd buy this product myself. I'll stick to good ol' Listerine!3
When it comes down to it, if I'm on the go, I'd rather pop a mint.3
It was a little odd, but really handy for a night out or a dinner date!3
I was excited to try it, but I wasn't thrilled with the results. It wasn't easy to swirl water in the small package and get all of the powder to dissolve. It did make my breath feel fresher though, so that's a plus!3
I have mixed feelings about this product. The instructions say to just add water but i didn't know how much... I filled it up and rinsed a few times but didn't get left with that refreshing mint feeling that I do from brushing and/or rinsing.3
This was pretty weird to me at first.. a powdered mouthrinse? I threw them in my purse for after I go out to eat and my mouth gets that gross feeling. I used one and it was definitely weird, but not unpleasant. I'd purchase again.3
meh at best. gotta do all that work but can appreciate the portability of it.3
Honestly, this was not my favorite "extra." I was kind of non-plussed...receiving it made me feel a bit like I was being offered a peppermint because I had bad breath...not super glamorous. My fiance and I tried it, and it was fine. But I didn't notice a whitening effect at all.3
The mouthrinse is definitely a plus when eating out or on a trip.
I don't know if I have enough occasion to use it frequently.
